Life lately | May 2018

April was a bit of a blur for me. I spent more time than necessary fussing over things that didn't need as much of my attention as I gave it, and I slept a lot.

This month I'll be moving from Austin, Texas back to my hometown in Arizona. I'm excited to be down the hall from my family instead of a 12-14 hour drive away. Another big transition happening this month will be working my current job from home instead of commuting to an office everyday. I think this will be a good opportunity to gauge how I feel about working from home, but I do admit I'm a little nervous about working in a different time zone.

Wanting: The sun to come out. The weather has been gloomy and gray the last two days so I've been spending time indoors painting and designing.
Reading: Being Boss by Kathleen Shannon and Emily Thompson
Watching: Just finished re-watching The Tudors. King Henry VIII had a very dramatic life
Listening: If you love me by The Brownstones
Hoping: For this months transitions to go as smoothly as possible
Waiting: To move back to my home state
Working: On new portfolio pieces and projects in general
Planning: A new adventure. I really want to learn how to swim and go surfing in Hawaii. I don't know why I want to do this, but it has been on my mind a lot lately
Saving: As much money as possible for the move
Challenging myself: To use the Upwork account I made last summer
Organizing: My home. I'm not looking forward to packing, but I'm really excited for the move
Cooking: I'm trying to decide between trying a new recipe for bean and veggie tostadas or cooking the tried and true chicken fajitas.

What have you been up to lately?
