Life lately | April 2018

I saw the cutest thing I've seen in awhile. I saw a young man buying flowers for his lady. He went with a friend and he meant business. It didn't matter that he didn't know which flowers to choose or that his friend kept making kissing noises. His determination made my day. I hope she likes the flowers he chose.

Late last year I spent a lot of time deciding what to do with this blog, and the online portfolio I never launched into the world. This space went silent for an extremely long time, and I wasn't sure if it would be wise to come back. After lots of thinking and planning I decided to combine the blog and my previous portfolio and there were two reasons for this.

1. At the end of the day I want my name to be my name. (maybe one day I'll change my mind, but for now my name is mine)

2. It would be easier to manage and update one space instead of splitting everything between two separate spaces and names.

Over the next few months or however long it takes I'll continue on creating my portfolio from scratch and refining my vision for his space.

Outside of rebuilding my online home I've been having fun learning how to paint with watercolors. A number of people and classes have helped me reconnect with my creative side. I'm very happy to have this part of my life back, and I'm excited (and nervous) to share my work and stories with you.
